Nonetheless it sounds as though he was a dynamic fellow, worthy of being played by Errol Flynn. I like your casting direction!Mark D. He takes my breath away. I would be ready for a mini series of Leroy. Who would play his part? Would he be a living actor or from the past? I would choose Errol Flynn, always.Mrs. Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07556632048798711513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-148647148793397155.post-67728332106847154572024-03-10T18:02:45.559-04:002024-03-10T18:02:45.559-04:00Hi Jim, I'm a little late in answering because...Hi Jim, I'm a little late in answering because your message didn't show up in my comments until today (!), but it's always good to chat with you. And thanks for the kind comment.

I am running out of wall space in my house! I recently bought a beautiful antique frame, which I'm looking forward to filling, but I actually have no place to hang it, unless I switch something else out. I guess I'll be like those trendy British rooms and have pictures leaning against the walls.

I enjoyed your collection of antique baby photos! I have a small collection of Victorian children wearing uniforms. Maybe I'll do a posting on them . . . Mark D. Someone recently acquired one of Rene's paintings, and she is asking those of us in the Ruffner Family Association about whether you and your brother are from the same branch. Our lineage goes back to Peter Ruffner in the 1700s, Shenandoah Valley. The mandala's symmetrical design instantly attracts one's attention to the centre. The mandala's design occupys the mind, allowing buzzing thoughts to wander away and facilitating trance induction and meditation. The design is something that should be considered over and over until it is perfected. A mandala is mesmerising in nature. Allowing our analytical mind to relax by allowing the creative (right side) hemisphere of our brain to function more freely. His pen & ink drawings are exquisite. I should have seen the correlation between them & Fantasia - I must have been blinded by my Kley adoration. In my mind, his drawing lives in a world of its own. A special thank you for mentioning Procopio’s books. I have the two Schizzenbuchs but have never seen his color artwork. I hope I’ll find those two books under my Christmas tree. They look wonderful! I have always suspected that Kley was a victim of the 3rd Reich. It certainly ended his career. Gehring might have considered himself an art “collector” but the Nazis would never have appreciated Kley’s scathing wit and insight. He was obviously totally committed to his satirical point of view - I’m afraid that may have shortened his life. We’ll never know, I suppose, but I’m glad to know there’s a wealth of his work that I’ve yet to discover.Allistair Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14754649385031056265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-148647148793397155.post-77117099603680417362020-09-15T13:12:35.124-04:002020-09-15T13:12:35.124-04:00I'm so glad that these incredibly creative cab...I'm so glad that these incredibly creative cabinets live on.Mark D.
